This week we’ve added 29 new applications to our site!

My Twitter Toolbox is constantly seeking out the latest and greatest new applications for the benefit of our readers, who look for new ways to interact with the site. CozyTag
CozyTag allows you to power up the tags you use online by allowing you to create and track them all across the Web. The site pulls in tags from Twitter, Flickr, LiveJournal, Blogger, YouTube, and 53 other services.

FreeSearch
FreeSearch enables you to search across social media, social networks and the web generally to find the people you want to find – from inside Twitter. You simply follow @freesearch, reply with a name of interest, and the search results come back in a tweet within minutes. You can also conduct private searches and restrict searches to specific networks like Twitter, LinkedIn, Classmates, Digg, TypePad, and several others.

GovLive
GovLive is the most advanced aggregator of real-time government news on the web, provided free to the public directly from Twitter. Every news item comes direct from agencies and officials without editorial or political bias. GovLive began as a service to get information to people quickly during emergencies and has evolved to become a sole source for all government news, big and small.

Instant Tweetup
Instant Tweetup is one of several new iPhone applications that provides a fun and easy way to make new friends, connect with local people and find out whats going on in your community. By using Twitter to search your local area, Instant Tweetup shows who is nearby, up to 10 miles, and lets you send them a tweet. It’s a good way to connect with people after gigs, conferences, seminars, or even to find someone to have a coffee with.

Journalist Tweets
JournalistTweets helps journalists connect with each other. If you have a Twitter account, you can click a gray arrow below any tweet on the site to reply to that journalist right there.

LinksAlpha
LinksAlpha.com is a Real-Time news tracking and publishing site. LinksAlpha.com also provides social activity measurement application that enables you to track social activity happening on any news Site or blog.

MicroBlogBuzz
MicroBlogBuzz lists the latest trends on micro-blogging services Twitter, Jaiku and Identica. You can see the trends (buzzes) of the last 60 minutes, 6 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, and 30 days. All the micro-blog posts on this site are loaded from external micro-blogging platforms.

Music Followers
Musicfollowers is a great way to find people to follow with similar music tastes on Twitter. This is a search mashup with Idiomag. All you have to do is enter your two favorite artists and it returns a list of Twitter users that have mentioned those and also other similar artists.

MyTweetMark
MyTweetMark is a site for creating, targeting, and measuring marketing campaigns on Twitter. You can gain more followers and contacts by using the site to reach out to people you wouldn’t normally have access to. The site also has analytics for measuring tweet views and you can create a business profile for your blogs and to help create a social media contact list.

Propnotes
Propnotes is a location-based site where users can find, review, and talk about local condos through updates. The has over 4,000 properties with information local to certain provinces in Canada.

TelAware
This iPhone application takes the tweets of businesses and connects them to a physical location. This way, when you go out you can open this application and see the tweets of businesses close to where you are, and it doesn’t require you to follow the account.

Turpial
Turpial is a client written in Python which is light, fast, fully functional and integrated to the user desktop. Its feature set includes the ability to shorten links and support for retweets, direct messages, favorites, follow/unfollow, and attaching images to tweets.

Tweet & Give
Tweet And Give is a new application that donates money to charity at no costs to users. The app uses ad revenue as the source of charitable donations. A minimum of 80% of the site’s gross ad revenue will be donated. Users can choose a charity from our list of select charities, and the funds generated from their activities on the site will go to their chosen charity.

Tweet2PSM
Updates your personal message in Windows Live Messenger with your current Twitter Status, with customizable time interval. This script requires Messenger Plus!.

Tweeting Places
Tweeting Places is geo-location based site that establishes a visual directory of places that tweet. Restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, universities etc. Users can zoom in on their own hot spots, add their own places, check out the site’s blog, and scroll around the world to find places that tweet regularly.

TweetReports
TweetReports provides the most advanced search filters, brand tracking and reporting features available – allowing you to monitor, track and conduct searches about your brand or your competitors whenever you like. You also get a premium tool that provides follower analysis, keyword analytics, bookmarking, and advanced searches using Twitter Lists.

TwitHorus
TwitHorus.com is a new application that aggregates and displays real-time tweet updates of tech companies by category directly from the source, making it easy to filter out the noise and find out what your competitors are up to. TwitStat.us

Twitter For Busy People
T4BP is a fast and fun way to see what all your friends are tweeting at once. No registration or login required. Simply enter your Twitter name, and the fun begins. All your friends’ pictures are displayed, letting you mouse over them to quickly see what they are doing. All friends are reduced to a single picture, allowing you to check ALL of your friends in a single glance. Now, with TwitPic integration, you can even see posted pictures without leaving the site.

Twitter Power Search
Twitter Power Search is a simple site designed to surface real-time Twitter trends that rank best. Free Twitter tools are plentiful, and this is one site that arranges trending topics by current, daily,and weekly trends, as well as images, video, and audio categories.

Twitter StreamGraphs
This site shows a StreamGraph for the latest 200 tweets which contain the search word. The StreamGraph shows the usage over time for the words most highly associated with the search word. It’s a fairly sophisticated way of displaying trending topics in a way that requires a little on-site reading to understand.

TwitterForce
TwitterForce is a robust, full-featured integrative tool for Salesforce and Twitter, offered through the Force.com Labs program. With this tool, you can create contacts, leads, and cases based on incoming Tweets, or import an entire twitter conversation thread. You’re also able to discover and track the latest trends by setting up custom search terms to monitor, then create contacts, leads, and cases from search results in one click. TwitterForce also allows you to easily send outbound tweets to leads and contacts, and save a record of your outbound tweets as activities on contacts, accounts, and leads.

TwitterMySite
With TwitterMySite, you can add a Twitter button to your blog or website and get more people to follow you. You can also customize the image with your twitter ID or any text you wish. The site has a number of attractive, original “follow me” buttons that you can use to create a custom look for Twitter on your blog.

TwoTweet is a way to reward your biggest and most socially active fans by discounting your digital music for each Twitter follower they share it with. All you have to do is upload your music, set the price, choose your Twiscount and tell your fans.

Twtr2src increases your productivity by allowing you options on how you want to receive your Twitter timeline. You can post tweets to Evernote or send updates by email automatically. You simply enter your username on the site and enter some details to set it up, and you’ll get updates without having to work hard at it.

View140 is a sleek, simple image search for Twitter. It goes through most of the major Twitter image hosting services and seeks out images associated to your search terms.

What’s Your Tweet Worth?
What’s your Tweet Worth is a complementary service to TwittAd which determines the value of your profile. From @Twittad – get a feel for how valuable you might be to advertisers on Twitter. A fun add-on site to the Twittad offering.

Boarding

Boarding is a site with a geo map that helps you find other stranded travelers by simply tweeting #boarding along with your airport code (LAX, JFK, CDG, …). Boarding will send you a reply with a link to the other Twitter users who you can message directly to meet up with. Boarding is fully optimized for a mobile usage. You just have to tweet #boarding along with the airport code to get in touch with the service

Buzzcapture

Buzzcapture provides insight to organisations regarding the buzz in their market: how consumers perceive brands, Which topics are discussed, and where are those discussions are taking place. Companies can stay in tune with their markets and get recommendations on how to proactively manage online reputations through social media.

Coworkers

Coworkers.com offers simple, flexible, analytical tools for professional collaboration, feedback, and peer review. From micro-feedback to in-depth reviews, the site empowers people and companies to share, learn, and grow their businesses, analyzing workgroup communication and performance for their clients.

Inbox Cleaner

InboxCleaner is a Twitter tool that allows you to clean out your direct messages inbox. You can choose between deleting everything, or use various filters, such as all messages from a specific user. InboxCleaner uses Twitter oAuth for authentication. Once authenticated, you can choose how you want to delete messages.

Intersect

Intersect is a Google Chrome extension that lets you see users who mutually follow you and another user on Twitter. The company is working on a Firefox extension as well.

Joule

Joule lets you chart who’s followed and unfollowed you on Twitter, LiveJournal, identi.ca, Digg, or delicious.com. You can review your own stats just by choosing “Twitter”, “LiveJournal” or another source from the home page list, then press “chart” to see a chart. You can also get daily statistics by direct message (DM), follow @joulestats on Twitter, or @joulestats on identi.ca. Joule supplies a daily feed of your stats in an RSS reader, and you can even get your stats in your Firefox status bar by installing Joule’s add-on.

Kweeper

Kweeper is a popular French site that offers a hybrid service halfway between a social bookmarking service, scrapbook, and micro-blog, Kweeper can store and share in 2 clicks all the pictures, videos, quotes, and audio files you find on the web and share them directly on Twitter. Kweeper also has a bookmarklet, a Firefox Extension, and an e-mail service for publishing content in your profile, keeping all source links visible and permanent.

My Twitter Cloud

My Twitter Cloud (MTC) is a search engine for users interested in Twitter and a comfortable way to manage the image we project. With MTC, you will be able to find users to follow based on interests.Your interests may be based on your profession, your hobbies or tastes, your clients, etc. If you are a new Twitter user, MTC is a good way to begin following interesting people on Twitter. If you are an advanced user and you already have a contact list, MTC can help you expand it and improve the quality of your “timeline”.

OpenBrands

OpenBrands uses Twitter to show real time conversations about brands on Brand Channels.  Using hashtags and tagging, they inspire brands and communities to join in open conversations, talking about brands on Twitter in a way that can be measured. Plancast is an easy way to share plans with friends and discover the activities and events others have in their future. It’s a social calendar of sorts, and it takes just a few seconds to post a plan for anything imaginable, such as a concert, party, conference, trip, or night out.

PollPigeon

PollPigeon is a resource for taking and creating new polls on trending topics like fashion, politics, celebrities, and sports. Users can also take quizzes and search for key phrases to find the polls they’re looking for.

QuickTwit

QuickTwit for your PC is a Twitter Client that takes Twitter back to its roots. It provides you with an instant way of updating your Twitter status. QuickTwit runs in the background and is invisible until you need it. In order to update your Twitter status all you have to do is press the preset key combination, type in your status and press enter.

Refollow

Refollow sets up an environment where you can discover and manage your own social circle on Twitter through a number of features that help filter out the noise in status updates. Some of these features include crowd tagging and comments, follow/unfollow/block capabilities, sort by importance, and group by relationships.

TuneTicker

Tuneticker is a light-weight desktop application that can automatically tweet the Twitter user’s latest music activity. When they play or add a song to their iTunes, Tuneticker automatically tweets the action and tags it with the most popular Twitter trending topic of all time, #nowplaying.

Tweet Automator

Tweet Automator provides a number of features to increase your productivity on Twitter. Twentourage

TwEntourage is a tool to help recruit and manage quality Twitter followers. Users can store up to 25 search phrases and direct message any of their followers. Site searches can run offline, and the site makes targeted follow suggestions based on your interests.

Twidl.it

Twidl.it allows you to share photos or deliver your Twitter or Facebook status updates with them. Tweets and updates can be shown as a caption, speech/thought/shout, or even LOLtext. This site warns Twitter users whether or not they should unfollow individual tweeps. Not much activity on the site currently, but may be useful for some who have too many followers.

Timely

Timely schedules tweets for when they’re bound to get the most reach. When you have important tweets to share, Timely helps get the most exposure by analyzing all your tweets to figure out what times of day you get the best engagement. The tool then defines “buckets” to best send your tweets. Currently supports up to five tweets per day.

Trunk.ly

Trunk.ly connects to social services like Twitter, Facebook and Delicious and monitors them for links you share. It then collects them, along with any tags and the description to create a central repository for all the links you love. Most importantly, it makes the content and the webpage the link points to fully searchable so you’ll never lose a link again.

Twishort

You post long text, Twishort cuts it to the allowed limit and automatically posts it to Twitter with a link. If you follow that link you will be able to read the whole post. If your tweet is less than 140 characters, Twishort does not add a link to it. Additionally, you can change the text of a shortened tweet if you are not satisfied with how your text was cut.

My Twitter Toolbox is constantly seeking out the latest and greatest applications to add to our site for the benefit of our readers, who look for new ways to interact with our favorite social media site.  Our growing list of Twitter applications is updated every week, so be sure to check back often to find helpful programs that help improve your experience with the site.

Hello Bar

Hello Bar is a simple toolbar that can be customized with text to promote causes, products, or whatever you want to say on your site. You can update the text in your Hello Bar via Twitter by using the hashtag #hellobar. This is very useful if you want to highlight a particular feature on your website on a particular day, or at a particular time of day.  It also provides statistics showing number of views and clicks.

Highlighter

Highlighter is a WordPress plugin that helps you grow your email list, make more money, and improve your user’s visitor experience by simply allowing them to highlight specific words, sentences, and images that interest them most. This allows publishers and readers to engage in more contextually-relevant conversations online for better communication. The plugin is free for self-hosted WordPress.org sites.

Instapaper

Instapaper facilitates easy reading of long text content. It’s a quality fee-based online service which allows users to save web pages to read later. Most iPhone Twitter clients include integration with Instapaper, and it’s got a great iPhone client as well.

Packrati.us

Packrati.us provides a simple bookmarking service to track the URLs you share online. The app follows your twitterfeed, and whenever a status you tweet or re-tweet contains URLs, it adds them to your Delicious.com bookmarks. Optionally, you can bookmark URLs in @replies to you, and in tweets you mark as favorites.

Performable

Performable lets you track every visitor through their entire relationship with your product or brand. Their enterprise-level product is designed to provide revenue tracking, lifetime customer history, and multi-channel analytics to make your customer interactions more profitable.

Reeder

Reeder is a Google Reader client for iPhone, iPad, and coming soon for Mac. The mobile app syncs with Google Reader to load feeds you’re used to reading online. It brings common features like support for shared items, image caching, and a slider control for better navigation and categorizing of list entries. With this client, you can send items to Instapaper, save to Delicious, post to Twitter, copy links, and send to email in the application.

Refynr

Refynr is for people who have lots of  contacts and don’t want to miss out on the important updates in their ever-growning stream of information. Based on parameters you set, Refynr grabs the interesting, relevant updates you receive and stops the flow of spam and unwanted noise in your feeds.

Resonancers

Resonance measures user interaction with the promoted tweet: how many times the tweet itself is viewed, favorited, retweeted, and how many times keywords or links are engaged with. Trackur scans millions of web pages, including news, blogs, video, images, and forums, to discover anything that matches the keywords you want to know about.

Twikpik

Twipik allows you to upload photos and share them in just a few clicks. Simply click the Login button in the top right and then proceed to upload your photos. You also have the option to just upload your photo to Twipik and not share on Twitter.

Twisst

Twisst is an interesting application that informs followers when the International Space Station will be visible in the sky. The Netherlands-based site gathers Geocode information from each follower and compares it to coordinates from online databases to determine when the ISS will be flying over that person’s area.

Twuration

Twuration is a new, simple application that calculates what date you started tweeting, how long you’ve been tweeting, and the rate at which you’re tweeting.

Vacation Relation

Twippr is currently in a beta test, so the app’s free for the moment. UnTweeps uses the Twitter API to unfollow selected people you are following. You indicate the number of days desired, and the application finds those followers who haven’t updated in that time frame. UnTweeps sends the list to the API, and the API then does the actual unfollowing.
